Board Committees

Standing Committees:


Executive - Reviews issues and matters concerning the foundation during intervals between board meetings. Coordinates agenda items for full board meetings.


Investment - Responsibilities include oversight, selection, and retention of Investment Consultant employed to manage assets of the Foundation who report quarterly to the Board of Directors.  Investment Policy



Other Committees:

Planning, Budget & Audit - Assists SRJC Foundation Treasurer and Executive Director in preparing annual budget for board
approval, reviewing annual audit, and tracking organization’s Five-Year Forecast. Responsibilities include recommending to the board those activities the SRJC Foundation should undertake in carrying out its mission and incorporating strategic goals set by the board.


Strategic Planning Committee - Convenes to help guide a strategic planning process for the Foundation. Helps to develop priorities, goals and tactics. Discusses emerging issue for the organization. Reviews and discusses the mission statement and organizational values. Identifies key priority areas for planning.

 

Personnel Committee - Provides oversight and guidance for matters related to the personnel of the Foundation. Helps executive director recruit and retain qualified employees, determine staffing needs, develop organization structure, review evaluations, and job descriptions, and represent
the Board of Directors on all other employee related items.

 

Nominating Committee - Identifies and nominates appropriate candidates to the SRJC Foundation Board of Directors, organizes annual elections including a slate of officers, and maintains records/terms of each officer & standing committee member.

 

Grants Committee - Review grant applications. Including, but not limited to the Randolph Newman Cultural Enrichment. Endowment (RNCEE) Grant. The RNCEE is a competitive grant program intended to provide funding for SRJC free or ticketed cultural enrichment activities and projects that benefit SRJC students and present an opportunity to the college that otherwise might not be available.
